Restaurant Express X Open Table for Melbourne Food and Wine Festival

Melbourne is undoubtedly the food and wine capital of Australia. Buzzing laneways full of culinary delights leave Melbournians spoiled for choice when it comes to eating out.

Don’t believe us?

Well, the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is just around the corner and is set to blow your mind (and taste buds) away.

For the second year in a row, OpenTable has been named a key sponsor of Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and host of its Restaurant Express program designed to offer foodies fine dining and gourmet meals at an incredible price of $40 p/head, at some of Melbourne’s most popular eateries.

Thanks to Opentable, we sampled the express menus at two of the incredible restaurants, Lucy Liu and Trattoria Emilia.

Located on Oliver Lane (just off Flinders Lane), Lucy Liu is known for it’s funky vibe, Asian style share plates and delicious cocktails. The lunchtime Restaurant Express menu definitely does not disappoint and offers some of the kitchen’s most popular dishes.

Choose from their Kingfish sashimi or sticky pork belly to start, barramundi with Assam laksa or beef flank for main and chocolate dulce or banana fritters for sweets. You should note: , the highlight is most certainly the banana fritters! The overall vibe and level of

service at Lucy Liu just perfects the overall experience.

Next up: Trattoria Emilia, authentic Italian at its best, with a cozy setting to boot. Start with a selection of home made breads followed by a plate of caprese and a grilled eggplant dish that combines home and beer vinegar (don’t question it, it works). For main, you’ll be served an authentic spinach and cheese ravioli

dish from the owners’ hometown in Italy. If you love cheese, this dish is for you.
