Make more time for yourself and what matters

You have the same amount of hours in a day as Beyonce.

However, sometimes it can feel like time is at a real premium.

In fact, it can seem as if we spend all of our time doing things that we don't like, enjoy, or feel we 'should' rather than devoting our precious minutes to things that nourish our body and mind, and lift our spirits.

Here are my top tips for freeing up your time and doing more for YOU.

Outsource

When it comes to freeing up more time in your life for the things that genuinely matter it may be worth outsourcing some jobs that are time-consuming or that you hate.

You'll discover that there are many businesses out there that specialize in doing the jobs you that don't want to do including places like Uber Clean House’s house cleaning, who will come into your home and use eco-friendly tool to make it sparkle. Then they are dry clean and ironing services that can do your laundry, and even professional car washing businesses that can take care of your vehicle too!

Airtasker is a great site for outsourcing your business needs. Alternatively, if you want more of a personal touch, try a company like Unique Lifestyle Management.

Find a workout you love

It's a fact of life that we all needs to work out regularly. However, when you hate the activity you are doing and only partaking of it to burn calories, it can seem like an enormous waste of precious time even if we do love the end results.

With that in mind, it's smart to pick an activity that you actually enjoy doing in the moment. Therefore consider swapping to a new and more fun gym class, or you may even add an audiobook to your run to minimise the time you are spending on things that don't love. Something that can help you feel as if you have regained precious moment or even hours in a day!

Schedule not over schedule

Lastly, to have more time, you probably need to do less, not more. In fact, the former is a mindful way of living and ensuring that the critical things get done and that you can be present and truly experience them.

The latter can often be a form of life armour where your business helps to prevent you from dealing with the real problems or issue in your life.

Of course, the uber-busy situation can also be caused by FOMO or fear of missing out too.

Yes, it's always a great idea to yes to things that excite you and you know will be fun, but you have to commit to clearing a space in your schedule to do them and not try and complete all the other tasks as well.

You may have the same 24-hours in a day as Beyonce, but you are only one person, that can only do one thing at a time.

So do the things that matter!
