Hamilton star, Luca Dinardo spends 5 minutes with us on what it's like to be back on stage and why she's dancing for sick Aussie kids
1. You're currently performing in the smash hit, Hamilton in Sydney. How does it feel to be back performing after 2020?
I’m so grateful that I was one of the first to be able to feel that onstage adrenaline high again after last year. I feel back at home. It’s the best feeling in the world, truly.
2. What's life like when you're performing around 6 shows a week?
Performing for more than 6 shows a week is definitely challenging yet so rewarding. Nothing this rewarding comes easy.
3. You've performed in RENT, West Side Story and now Hamilton, what's the dream role?
Having choreographed Rent, performed in West Side Story as Anybodys which was a dream role of mine and now being in Hamilton after it being my goal/dream for the past 5 years, I’m very grateful and honoured. Some of my other dreams shows are: In The Heights, Moulin Rouge and Wicked for sure!
4. You're an ambassador for RMHC Dance for Sick Kids, can you tell us more about the initiative?
Dance For Sick Kids is an initiative that raises money to support families with seriously ill or injured children that depend on the Ronald McDonald House charities in Australia. The initiative is a 7-day dance challenge where you choose your daily dance challenge and ask your family and friends to sponsor you! That can be 30 min, 60 min or 120 min dance challenges! How fun!
5. How can we get involved?
Getting involved is SUPER easy and free! All you have to do is sign up! Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Dance for Sick Kids runs till Friday 21st May.
